Big sturdy cardboard hat boxes in tasteful black and white with a smooth finish, and a major bargain at less than a £10 each. Most of the hat boxes I found on a trawl of various sites were far too small to contain a truly epic hat, but these really are extremely roomy. As to their durability, it's early days but I just strapped one to a wheeled suitcase not much larger than itself and it seems to be handling the tension pretty well after a few circuits of the living room. In all fairness didn't really need a dozen and would have liked the option to order fewer at once, but I'm sure the spares will come in handy over time. As an added bonus, they're the same colour scheme as a pirate flag.
