Stiffener works like a charm. The one of the mail providers Royal Mail or USPS lost the original one sent to me. When I contacted the trimming company they offered to send me a new one at no cost to me, great customer service! I will be purchasing some again.

I have used it on a 100% wool Feather-weight hat, and it's working great so far. Only think is there is a hard crust on the hat now. I need to figure out how to get rid of that, but I am confident that as I use it more, I'll learn.

Ok, updated review, this stuff looks like Elmer’s glue. I’m pretty convinced it is. It is polyvinyl acetate, essentially the same thing. Do not mix this stuff 4:1 like they say. It will be like slashing plaster on your hat,
I’m still convinced this is Elmer’s and a spray bottle, and I’m not going to use it on my clients hats.
However, I sponged off the glue, and washed the whole hat down, then I diluted it about 12-1, and shook it, sprayed it. sponged it evenly, and when it dried it was clear and the hat looked great, it was stiff and no side effects, I’m almost sure this is just Elmer’s but it did kind of work. Just dilute it way more. forget 4/1. Try 90% water 10% glue. I can’t recommend this, it is essentially Elmer’s glue and a spray bottle. But the results surprised me, 1 star for the glue, 2 more because it worked

The spray bottle broke after a while (the plastic handle bit came off) but I still could use the product and measurements in a small bottle of my own. The product in itself is great and worked perfectly!
